Our Terra-Pro® erosion protection mats are made from all-natural raw materials such as straw or coconut fibres. In order to withstand the tractive forces of embankment erosion finely woven polypropylene backing nets and multifilament polypropylene twine are also used.

Of course, we take our concern for the environment into account in manufacturing phase; Terra-Pro® erosion protection mats are also available with all-natural jute fibres and jute stitching.

It is important to note that jute nets and fibres have certain drawbacks in terms of durability and their ability to handle tractive forces, so sometimes it is necessary to employ polypropylene nets and twine (most notably in water areas).

In order to help you save money, our Terra-Pro® erosion protection mats can also be prepared with seed mixes.

Terra-Pro® - erosion protection mats for mild exposure:

 Mat characteristics (from top to bottom)

 * Only with seed mats (with seeds, a paper base is required)
** These options should be employed with seeds (without seeds they don’t work)
